Association for Persons with Mental Retardation in Slavonski Brod on Friday 20. March 2015. godine organizirala je u gradskoj knjižnici Ivana Brlić Mažuranić u Slavonskom Brodu završnu konferenciju projekta Comprehensive Care to the Families with Dependent Member – Community4family koji je financiran iz IPA IV – razvoj ljudskih potencijala.

The aim of the project was to contribute to strengthening social inclusion and prevent institutionalization of vulnerable social groups by improving the existing social services in the community for adults with intellectual disabilities and their families. The project contributed to the strengthening of economic activity family, improving support and reconciliation of family and work roles.

At the final conference, President of the Association for Persons with Mental Retardation in Slavonski Brod, Mirjana Jakovčev, presented a brief project carried out and the audience is shown a short film about the camp held in Terme Tuhelj and Terme Jezercica.

The project was implemented in the area: Brod-Posavina, Primorje-Gorski Kotar, Sibenik-Knin, Dubrovnik-Neretva, Virovitica-Podravina, Koprivnica-Križevci, Bjelovar-Bilogora and Osijek-Baranja County.

The audience was addressed by the president of partner associations: Ana Pribanić from the Association for Persons with Mental Retardation River, Nada Boras from the Association for Persons with Mental Retardation "Joy" Plates and Sonja Ninić Sevo from the Association for Persons with Mental Retardation of Sibenik-Knin County.

Final conference was attended by representatives of associations from Bjelovar, Orahovice, Rivers; The board and Sibenik, predstavnice Hrvatskog saveza udruga osoba s intelektualnim teškoćama te predstavnici Hrvatskog zavoda za zapošljavanje, The County, City of Slavonski Brod, Social Welfare Centre and many others.
