Days 01. August 2014. year, under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth, Varaždin County and the City of Ludbreg, in 12 hours “HOUSE OF THE SUN”, held a ceremonial meeting of the association “LUDBREG SUN”, Day Association 05. August, 18 years of the Association and 10 years of work “THE HOUSE OF THE SUN”.

President of the association Mrs. Rose Goldsmith presented the work of the Association since its founding until now, with special emphasis on the last 10 years, because in this period achieved the most important projects of the Association.

At the special meeting was attended by the Mayor of the City of Ludbreg Mr. Dubravko Bilic, Deputy Mayor Mrs. Vera Jadanić, representatives of the Croatian Association of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities Tia Osmanovic, Professional Secretary of the Alliance and Srdjan Selak, Associate Psychologist, then Director of the Secondary School Ludbreg, director of the kindergarten "Joy" Ludbreg, Representatives of Red Cross Ludbreg, police, Center for Social Welfare, municipality, media, Associations, donors, members of the association and their parents.

After the completion of the formal work sessions, followed by a special program performed by the user "THE HOUSE OF THE SUN", and in the continuation of socializing entertained us band called "LUN-MLA" from Lunjkovca. An exhibition of paintings titled “GIFT OF LOVE”, which can be viewed in “HOUSE OF THE SUN”.

On behalf of the President of the Croatian Association of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities Mirjana Jakovčev, the audience was addressed professional secretary Croatian Alliance Tia Osmanovic, reading the letter to the president in which he emphasizes the crucial importance of the role of civil society in supporting the most vulnerable members of society. The need for an organized and systematic providing such assistance in particular have recognized the parents' association, and one of the most successful and highest quality of such associations within our Alliance is LUDBREG SUN, which is thanks to its president Mrs. Rose Goldsmith significant impact on improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families.

Croatian Association heartily congratulates all members and employees “Day Association” and we want to share their rich knowledge and experience is transferred to other member associations, so that they improve and develop their programs, because we need to learn from each other, a “Together we are stronger”
