Dr. Verzak iznio je podatke o stanju te potrebnim promjenama u liječenju osoba s invaliditetom. Zbog svojih specifičnih potreba, osobe s intelektualnim teškoćama zahtijevaju poseban pristup stomatologa prilikom ostvarivanja stomatološke zaštite. Na sastanku su donesena tri zaključka:

1. Dopuna tj. (sub)specifikacija dijagnoza stanja i bolesti kod pacijenata s invaliditetom. Zbog zahtjevnosti rada s pacijentima iz navedene kategorije, potrebno je dodati faktor korekcije. Iz širokog spektra dijagnoza, potrebno je izdvojiti skupine osoba s kojima je rad najzahtjevniji, ali i one kojima je ova usluga najpotrebnija.
2. Zapošljavanje i educiranje novih stomatoloških kadrova.
   Trenutno djeluje između 12 – 13 grupa stomatologa koje rade s osobama s invaliditetom. Taj broj potrebno je povećati te osnovati više mobilnih grupa stomatologa koji će biti u mogućnosti dolaziti do teško pokretnih pacijenata. 3. Organizacija i kategorizacija novih jedinica unutar postojećeg sustava.
   Sve osobe s invaliditetom u Hrvatskoj (zahtjevnije skupine) kojima su potrebne stomatološke usluge, pokrivene su stomatološkom zaštitom te će im usluga uvijek biti pružena. Nažalost, ovu vrstu usluge mogu ostvariti samo u Zagrebu, a to predstavlja problem osobama koje žive u drugim dijelovima države. Rad s pacijentima koji zbog svojeg stanja zahtijevaju specifičnu pažnju, strpljenje i koncentraciju – poseban je izazov za stomatologe. Stomatolozi koji su odabrali raditi s ovom vrstom pacijenata, ističu se svojom voljom da pomognu osobama kojima je ta pomoć najpotrebnija. To je ujedno i neophodna osobina za rad na ovom području.
